My Time in Nepal

‘This little guy here is named Bepal, he’s the sweetest child I’ve ever met and is always smiling and playing with the other children.
He’s also paralysed on one side, this prevents him from walking properly and numerous other small things that we take for granted! And yet he’s always happy. He practices walking everyday, using two bamboo stands and walks up and down it with the help of his mother and Neel.
His mother is also a wonderful women who works in the children’s home. Everyday she gets all the children up, gets them ready for school, cooks everyone a breakfast and then sends them on their way, then cleans up. After this she carries her son, Bepal, on her back, all the way down the mountain, to bring him to school. As soon as she’s back at the home she begins cleaning again, she needs to be ready as soon as possible so she can go back and collect her soon and have dinner waiting for the other children.
This women and her son are the most amazing and inspiring people I’ve ever met! They have it tough but they continue on with a smile and are always there to help and have fun.
They are a testament to the kind and beautiful souls of the Nepalese people’
