My time in Nepal

Waking up after a heavy monsoon rainfall is something you will never forget. The damage rain can do out there is just unbelievable. Unfortunately the day before an episode of this heavy rain, 70 holes were dug with two shovels, a pick axe and determination. As we hiked up the mountain to the construction site of the new children’s home our hearts sank as at least 50 of the holes were filled. However, the Nepalese workers just laughed and went back to start digging the holes again, not a frown crossing their lips.

It is this resilience along with their positive attitude that makes working with Nepalese people, especially those in TEAM Nepal and the children in the home so rewarding. They change the way you look at your own problems forever.’
